The first edition of “Walking Closet” a food & lifestyle exhibition was recently held at Golden Tulip Kolkata. The event was curated by two first-timers, Anusreea Paul Mukherjee and Luna Chatterjee. The aim of the exhibition was to gave an opportunity to the start-ups to showcased their collections and to provide a platform for them.
Luna and Anusreea shares, “Exhibitions are always favoured by the people of Kolkata. Though South Kolkata has its fair share of exhibitions, they are a rarity in Salt Lake thus we chose Golden Tulip as our venue for the First Edition. Panna Diamond World a house for Gold and Diamond Jewellery, situated in Kolkata and Bangladesh was the proud “Presenting Partner” for the exhibition.’’
Several brands like Decorate Home, H & B Silver Arts, Niki Koyana Enchanted Closet, Shoi, Aadvik, Jini’s Jewellery, Isha’s, Miss Harshha, Ecstatic Bags, Snato, The Princess Diary Beauty & Clothing, Print & Weaves, Shree Vastram, Yash Fitness were participated in this exhibition.readmore
There were also several surprises lined up! Visitors got a chance to click pictures with polaroids from Instax. They also got a chance to try Golas and Phuchkas from Aditi’s, a food exhibitor, she brought some unique flavours like Pizza Phuchka, Ghugni Phuchka and aloo dum Puchka to name a few. Carrot Sweet added sweetness with their brownies and cakes.
Renowned Pianist and Fashion Designer Rajlakshmi Syam and Mimi Das (Social Worker, President at Woman Cell and In charge of National Human Rights Organisation, West Bengal) graced the event. They interacted with the exhibitors and visitors. As well both of them loved the collection, and ended up shopping for themselves!
The highlight of the evening was the fashion walk where both the curators, bloggers, a kathak dancer, corporate executive, exhibitors, and businesswomen walked the ramp. They were made ramp ready by The Princess Diary Beauty & Clothing, a renowned salon located in AD Block, Salt Lake. They dressed up in ensembles from Shree Vastram, Prints & Weaves and Shoi. While Anusreea and Luna wore diamond sets from ‘Panna Diamond World’, others wore silver and party jewellery from Jini’s Jewellery & Isha’s.
