Prabhas’ upcoming film Spirit is not facing any postponement and continues to move ahead according to schedule. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the much-awaited project is still aiming for its previously announced worldwide theatrical release on March 5, 2027.
Speculation around a possible delay began circulating because of Prabhas’ packed lineup. The actor is currently occupied with multiple projects, including Fauzi and Kalki 2. Reports had suggested that Spirit was no longer his immediate priority and claimed the film might eventually miss its planned release window.
The rumours quickly gained traction online, with fans repeatedly asking the makers for clarification on social media. However, people associated with the project have reportedly denied all such claims and insisted that the film remains firmly on track.
Sources close to the production have stated that shooting is progressing smoothly and that the entire team is focused on meeting the announced deadline. There are reportedly no changes to the production schedule, and the makers are even planning to speed up portions of the process in the coming months.
The release of Salman Khan and Vamsi Paidipally’s upcoming film, which is expected to arrive around the same time, is also said to have no impact on Spirit’s release plans.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ other project, Fauzi, is nearing completion. Around 20 percent of the shoot is reportedly still pending, including three large-scale action sequences scheduled to be filmed soon. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is expected to release in theatres later this year, most likely around October if production remains on schedule.
In Spirit, Prabhas will reportedly essay the role of a fierce police officer. Triptii Dimri has been cast as the female lead, while Vivek Oberoi will be seen in an important role. Aishwarya Desi is also part of the cast.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is directing, writing, and editing the film, while the music is being composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Reports suggest that the film went on floors only after detailed music sittings and extensive pre-production work.
With the makers now reaffirming that the film is progressing without any hurdles, fans can expect Spirit to arrive in cinemas worldwide as scheduled in 2027.
