Bollywood megastar Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar has struck gold at the box office, earning an impressive ₹169.78 crore globally within just five days of its theatrical release. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, the high-octane action drama hit theatres on March 30 and opened to packed cinemas, especially across India and the Middle East.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss, Sikandar sees Salman Khan donning the intense role of Sanjay, also known as “Rajkot ka Raja Saab”—a vigilante who arrives in Mumbai with a mission to cleanse the city of corruption.
The production house took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Friday to share the milestone. “You’ve filled cinemas and our hearts. Thank you for making #Sikandar so special,” wrote Nadiadwala Grandson alongside a celebratory poster highlighting the film’s earnings.

According to official figures released by the studio, Sikandar grossed ₹54.72 crore worldwide on its opening day, reaffirming Khan’s formidable box office pull during the festive season. However, while the film saw a gradual decline in collections over the following days, it still managed a commendable ₹8.28 crore in India and ₹3 crore overseas on Day 5.
Aside from its adrenaline-packed sequences and stylised action, the film brings a romantic twist to Khan’s character. Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife, adding emotional depth to the otherwise gritty narrative. The film also boasts a star-studded ensemble including Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, and Jatin Sarna.
However, Sikandar hasn’t been without its share of controversy. Days before its theatrical release, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) issued a strong statement condemning the unauthorised online leak of the film. The premature digital circulation sparked concerns around piracy and the impact it could have on the box office performance of high-budget films.
Despite this setback, Sikandar has managed to stay strong at the global box office, a testament to Salman Khan’s loyal fanbase and the film’s mass appeal. As the post-Eid weekend approaches, trade analysts are keeping a close eye on whether the vigilante drama will cross the coveted ₹200 crore mark in the coming days.
For now, Salman Khan fans have much to celebrate—and Sikandar continues to reign.
