Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon delighted her fans on Friday by sharing a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes world of her upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein. The actress took to Instagram with a lively photo carousel captioned, “That’s the way I March-ed into April,” offering a candid glimpse into her recent life, from film sets to food indulgences.

Among the highlights was a selfie with acclaimed director Aanand L. Rai, known for his emotionally grounded storytelling and vivid character portrayals. Another image featured a clapperboard, revealing key filming details—“Tere Ishk Mein, Scene No. 46, Shot No. 4, Take No. 1”—signaling the film is already deep into production.
Tere Ishk Mein, backed by T-Series and Color Yellow Productions, serves as a spin-off to Rai’s 2013 romantic drama Raanjhanaa, a film that earned cult status for its intense love story and powerful performances. While Raanjhanaa starred Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, the heart of the story revolved around Dhanush’s portrayal of Kundan—a small-town lover whose obsession with Zoya (Sonam Kapoor) led to devastating consequences.
In this new chapter, Dhanush returns, possibly reprising or reimagining his role, while Kriti Sanon joins the narrative in a fresh avatar. Her character, Mukti, was introduced in the second teaser released earlier this year, which focused solely on her. The first teaser, meanwhile, spotlighted Dhanush and set the tone for a story that promises to be as intense and poetic as its predecessor.
The background score for Tere Ishk Mein is composed by none other than A.R. Rahman, adding a layer of musical gravitas to the film. Rahman had also scored Raanjhanaa, and his return suggests a thematic and sonic continuity that fans will welcome with open arms.
Kriti Sanon, who was last seen in Netflix’s thriller Do Patti—which also starred Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh—has had an eventful year. Do Patti marked her debut as a producer, showing her intent to take on more multi-faceted roles in the industry.
Dhanush, meanwhile, is keeping busy with multiple projects. He’s currently gearing up for the release of his Tamil drama Idly Kadai, slated to hit theatres on October 1.
As anticipation builds around Tere Ishk Mein, the glimpses shared by Kriti only heighten the curiosity about how this spin-off will expand the emotional universe first created in Raanjhanaa. Will love find its way this time, or will it once again burn bright and brief?
Only time—and the film—will tell.
