The highly anticipated thriller will be shot simultaneously in Hindi and Malayalam, with Ajay Devgn and Mohanlal reprising their lead roles. Abhishek Pathak, who directed Drishyam 2, will return to direct the Hindi version.
Tabu and Akshaye Khanna to Reprise Their Roles
Tabu and Akshaye Khanna, who earned acclaim for their performances in previous installments, are set to return for Drishyam 3. As per reports, Abhishek Pathak recently discussed the storyline with both actors, who were intrigued by the unexpected narrative turns and agreed to join the project. The official paperwork is expected to be completed within the next fortnight.
A Conclusive Chapter
The upcoming installment is expected to mark the conclusion of the Drishyam saga, focusing on the intense conflict between Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn), Tabu’s character, and Akshaye Khanna’s role. Continuing from where the last film ended, the story will delve into the final clash between a father determined to protect his family and the relentless pursuit of justice. Shriya Saran will also reprise her role in the film.

Panorama Studios confirmed the production of Drishyam 3 in a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange in May 2025, with Ajay Devgn returning in the lead and Abhishek Pathak as director.
Mohanlal Hints at Malayalam Installment
Meanwhile, Mohanlal has hinted at the Malayalam version through a teaser video, featuring him as Georgekutty alongside director Jeethu Joseph and producer Anthony Perumbavoor. “October 2025 — the camera turns back to Georgekutty. The past never stays silent. #Drishyam3,” Mohanlal shared, hinting at the next chapter for the character.
