Filmmaker Karan Johar received an outpouring of love from his friends and colleagues on social media as he celebrated his birthday. Several Bollywood stars shared special moments with the director while posting heartfelt wishes, with close friends Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol and Sonam Kapoor leading the celebrations online.
Kareena Kapoor Khan marked Karan Johar’s birthday by sharing a happy picture with him on Instagram. Along with the photo, she penned a heartfelt note that read, “Love you, love you and love you more, today and always. Happy birthday my darling @karanjohar.”
Sonam Kapoor also took to Instagram Stories to wish the filmmaker. Sharing a picture featuring Karan and her father Anil Kapoor, she wrote, “Happy birthday to @karanjohar.. A photo with your favourite Kapoor.. love you KJo..” She later posted another photo with him and captioned it, “Gemini energy always @karanjohar.”
Kajol, who has shared a long friendship and successful collaborations with Karan over the years, posted a candid picture of the filmmaker kissing her cheek. Adding humour to her birthday note, she wrote, “Happy Happy birthday Karan. Most of the pics we have together are blurry, probably because we both can’t stay still long enough.”
Apart from the birthday celebrations, Karan Johar is also enjoying the success of his latest production Chand Mera Dil, which released in theatres on May 22, 2026. Directed by Vivek Soni, the romantic drama stars Ananya Panday and Lakshya and follows the emotional love story of Aarav and Chandni from their college days to later phases of life.
