And then designer Anjoo Karanjia’s ANJ presented their collection, called “Summer Motley”, which is an ode to the crafts of India. Anj took inspiration from an intricate craft called Blue Pottery for its new Spring/Summer’ 20 collections.
Starting the show with a bang, was the beautiful Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira walked down the ramp, colour coordinated in blue. Rochelle strutted on the runway an ethereal dusky blue raw silk Lehenga, choli and soft net dupatta with hand-embroidered gold Sadi work done in patterns inspired by the intricate motifs done on blue pottery. This is a modern take on an age-old craft.

“Summer Motely” embodies the true essence of summer. Bright colours meet soothing pastels in shades of turmeric, saffron, mint, denim blue and cream.
