Bollywood suffered a major jolt with the news, music composer and singer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid fame, passes away today at Mumbai hospital due to coronavirus complications at a mere age of 42. Wajid Khan recently composed Salman Khan’s Song Pyaar Karona and Bhai Bhai.
The news was confirmed by Salim Merchant on his social media handle.

He also told PTI, “Wajid had multiple issues. He had a kidney issue and had a transplant a while ago. But recently he got to know about kidney infection… He was on the ventilator for the last four days, after his situation started getting worse. Kidney infection was the beginning and then he got critical.”
Wajid khan along with his brother Sajid made debut as music directors with Salman Khan’s Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. They composed music for several movies such as Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, Wanted, Veer, Dabangg and many more. Wajid had also lent his voice to songs such as Soni De Nakhre, Jalwa, Hud Hud Dabangg and Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita.
Brother duo worked on as mentor on the reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar. They also composed IPL 4 theme song, Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadaka.
