R. Madhavan has publicly criticised wellness and functional health brand Elevate Now for allegedly using his image and interview clips without permission to promote its weight loss programmes. The actor revealed that he has issued a legal notice against the company and warned people against believing such advertisements.

Taking to Instagram, Madhavan shared a screenshot of the promotional content and expressed his disappointment over the alleged misuse of his identity. In his post, the actor questioned how organisations believe they can use interview footage without consent and present it as a celebrity endorsement.

He stated that the edited reel created the impression that he was endorsing the brand’s products, even though the clip had simply been lifted from an old interview. Madhavan further said that no permission had been taken from him before using the footage and criticised the company for misleading the public.

The actor also urged people to remain cautious about such promotional campaigns and wrote that legal action had already been initiated. His post included the words “LEGAL NOTICE SENT,” making it clear that he intends to pursue the matter formally.

According to reports, Madhavan had previously spoken openly about his personal fitness journey and natural approach to weight management. The actor had shared that he achieved a 21-day body transformation through intermittent fasting, disciplined eating habits and lifestyle changes rather than relying on crash diets or commercial weight-loss products.

The recent controversy appears to centre around the unauthorised use of those interviews and fitness discussions to market a healthcare brand.

On the professional front, Madhavan was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar. His upcoming projects include YRF’s Alpha, Tamil films Adhirshtasaali and GDN, along with a bilingual project titled Circle.
