The story of the movie revolves around Shruti and Bittoo who are two youngsters from Delhi. They together start a wedding planning enterprise called Shaadi Mubarak. However, their professional relationship is jeopardized when Shruti falls in love with Bittoo. The movie starred Anushka Sharma in the lead opposite Ranveer. His desi avatar with a hilarious accent worked for him.

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (2011)

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl once again brought Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh together. The story revolves around a fraudster who pretends to fall in love with women, fools them by taking their money. In this movie, Ranveer raised the temperature with his hot physique and appealing style.

Bajirao Mastani (2015)

Ranveer grew to stardom with his role as Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Bajirao Mastani. The story revolves around the heroic Peshwa Bajirao who is married to Kashibai but falls in love with Mastani, a warrior princess in distress. They struggle to make their love triumph amid opposition from his conservative family. Actress Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were seen in the lead along with Ranveer.  He gave an exceptional performance in this movie.

Lootera (2013)

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Lootera is one of Ranveer’s critically acclaimed films. The story sets back in 1953 when Pakhi, an aristocrat’s daughter, falls in love with an archaeologist. However, unbeknownst to her, he leads a double life that threatens their relationship. Ranveer Singh was seen romancing Sonakshi Sinha onscreen.

Gully Boy (2019)

Last but definitely not least, Gully Boy was the most successful movie of the year and definitely another shining star in Ranveer’s acting career. It is a musical drama, directed by Zoya Akhtar.

It received critical acclaim for its storyline, music, and the performances of the actors. The story revolves around Murad, an underdog who struggles to convey his views on social issues and life in Dharavi through rapping. His life changes drastically when he meets a local rapper, Shrikant alias MC Sher. Ranveer Singh became a youth icon after the release of this movie. It starred Alia Bhatt, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Kalki Koechlin along with Ranveer. The music from the film became an all-time hit.
