Global star Priyanka Chopra has added another major international honour to her name. The actor was awarded the prestigious Global Vanguard Honour at the Gold House Gold Gala 2026, recognising her contribution towards shaping cross-cultural storytelling and expanding global representation for South Asian talent.
Over the years, Priyanka has emerged as one of the most influential Indian artists on the global stage. From making history as the first South Asian actor to headline an American network drama with Quantico to leading major international projects like Citadel, she has consistently pushed boundaries for Indian representation in mainstream global entertainment.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Priyanka has successfully built a strong presence across both Bollywood and Hollywood. Beyond films and series, she has also made her mark in fashion, entrepreneurship and social advocacy, establishing herself as a truly global personality.
The Gold Gala 2026 was held at The Music Centre in downtown Los Angeles with the theme “A New Gold World.” The event celebrated individuals who have contributed towards cultural impact, leadership and inclusivity across industries. Priyanka shared the honours list with several international names, including Charles Melton, Jet Li, Simu Liu and EJAE.
For the star-studded evening, Priyanka made a striking appearance in a sculptural chikankari gown designed by Amit Aggarwal. The one-shoulder outfit was crafted using a nearly two-decade-old chikankari saree, blending traditional Indian embroidery with a contemporary silhouette. Celebrity stylist Ami Patel styled the actor for the gala.
Making the moment even more special, Priyanka attended the event alongside her mother, Madhu Chopra.
On the professional front, Priyanka is gearing up for her upcoming film Varanasi, directed by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The ambitious time-travel adventure also stars Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prakash Raj.
Rooted in Indian mythology, the film is set against the backdrop of Kashi and promises a blend of adventure and spiritual themes. The music for the project has been composed by MM Keeravani, and the film is currently slated for a theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
