Amazon Prime announces the greenlight for season two of the masterpiece series Dom. It is the most-watched Brazilian Amazon original with more than 60% of the series audience watching outside Brazil. Dom premiered exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on June 4. Its premiere was telecasted in more than 24 countries and territories around the world and received much love and appreciation from the audience.
On such a huge success of the series, Head of Brazil Original for Amazon Studios, Malu Miranda said, “Customers throughout Brazil and around the world have shown us they love Dom, so we couldn’t be happier to announce the forthcoming second season, reinforcing how great stories are universal.”
This is a crime drama that is based on a true story revolving around a father and son on opposite sides in the war on drugs in Rio de Janeiro. It’s a classic drama that holds on the audience’s attention throughout.
The drama series follows a young driver, Victor who is seen playing a military intelligence agent, who fights against the drug abuses in Rio. But to his surprise, his own son, Pedro becomes one of the most wanted and famous criminals of Rio involved in the drug business.
The second season is said to drive the audience to explore even deeper into the life of Pedro Dom, and moments later in his career as one of the most famous criminals in Rio.
The series stars an excellent bunch of actors including Gabriel Leone, Flavio Tolezani, Filipe Bragança, Raquel Villar, Isabella Santoni, Ramon Francisco, Digão Ribeiro, Fabio Lago, Julia Konrad and André Mattos, among others in the first season. It is directed by Vicente Kubrusly and Breno Silveira and produced by Conspiracao Filmes.
