On Wednesday, Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment commemorated the 26th anniversary of the iconic 1998 romantic thriller Dil Se.. with a heartwarming tribute. The production house took to Instagram to share a nostalgic video showcasing memorable moments from the film, which was helmed by the acclaimed director Mani Ratnam and featured stellar performances by Manisha Koirala and Preity Zinta.

The video highlights the film’s most unforgettable sequences, including the energetic dance number “Chaiyya Chaiyya” set atop a moving train. This chart-topping song, choreographed by Farah Khan Kunder, is accompanied by A.R. Rahman’s music, with lyrics penned by Gulzar and vocals delivered by Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi. The post was met with a wave of enthusiastic responses from fans, many of whom expressed their desire for a theatrical re-release of the film.

Dil Se.. revolves around the life of a radio journalist, Amarkant Verma (played by Shah Rukh Khan), who falls deeply in love with the enigmatic Meghna, or Moina (Manisha Koirala). Her elusive nature leads Amarkant to uncover her hidden mission and traumatic history. Meanwhile, Preity Zinta portrays Preeti Verma, whose family arranges her marriage to Amarkant.

In other news, Manisha Koirala recently starred as Mallika Jaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear next in Sujoy Ghosh’s film King, which is rumored to feature his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan as a potential antagonist. Meanwhile, Preity Zinta is preparing for her upcoming role in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947.
