Tamil cinema fans are in for a treat as actress Pooja Hegde is set to reunite with superstar Vijay for his much-anticipated 69th feature film. The news was confirmed by KVN Productions, which is backing the project. The two actors had previously shared the screen in the 2022 action film Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, and audiences are eagerly awaiting their on-screen chemistry once again.
KVN Productions made the official announcement on Instagram, delighting fans with a post that read: “Bringing the stunning duo back to the big screen once again. We know you’ve already cracked it, but officially… Welcome onboard @hegdepooja #Thalapathy69CastReveal.”
Hegde, expressing her excitement, took to Instagram Stories with a heartfelt message: “Yaaaaasss! Hoping to create magic once again with the one and only Thalapathy @actorvijay.”
The yet-to-be-titled film will also feature Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, who was announced as part of the cast just a day earlier. With these stars joining forces, anticipation for the film continues to build.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker H Vinoth, the film promises to be a grand cinematic experience. The movie is scheduled for a 2025 release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, and is expected to be Vijay’s last feature film before he transitions full-time into politics.
Vijay, known for his blockbuster films such as Leo, Mersal, Master, and Bigil, recently founded his political party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), in February 2024. He has announced his intention to run in the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, marking a significant shift in his career from cinema to politics.
The film’s soundtrack will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, adding to the excitement, as he has been the creative force behind the music in several of Vijay’s hit films.
Hegde, who was last seen in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, is also gearing up for her next film Deva, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. With her growing popularity in both Bollywood and South Indian cinema, her collaboration with Vijay once again is sure to create waves.
