After delivering a number of smashing hits like URI, Kedarnath and The Sky Is Pink, RSVP in collaboration with Baweja Studios, is all set to revisit one of the most successful rescue operations in history with Captain India.
National award laureate Hansal Mehta will direct the movie. ‘Captain India’ stars Kartik Aaryan in a never-seen avatar of a pilot who showed exemplary bravery and courage during the rescue operations.
Taking to Twitter, the makers unveiled the first look poster of the film and gave fans a little glimpse of this exceptional journey. Sharing the first look, the makers wrote, “When a man goes beyond the call of duty 🇮🇳

In the poster, Kartik Aaryan is seen dressed as a pilot with his face hidden behind the captain’s cap. Taking to Twitter space, the actor thrilled fans with the heroic first look of the movie. Unveiling the poster, he wrote, “When a man goes beyond the call of duty 🇮🇳

The story is inspired by India’s biggest and most successful rescue missions from a war-torn country. Captain India is not just a story of one of the biggest humanitarian operations ever but also about the indomitable human spirit, one that rises above failure despite the odds.
Talking about the movie, Kartik Aaryan revealed in a statement, “Captain India is inspiring and thrilling in equal measure and it gives me great pride and honor to be a part of such a historic chapter of our country. I have immense respect for Hansal Sir’s body of work and this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with him.”
‘Captain India’ which is inspired by true events will revisit a moment in time where a man goes beyond his own pain and suffering to save thousands. I’m happy to collaborate with Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja on the film and I look forward to working with Kartik,” added Hansal Mehta.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik has an interesting mix of films ahead, including Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Netflix’s Dhamaka, and an untitled film to be directed by Sameer Vidwans.
Further details regarding the film and cast are still under wrap by the makers. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja, with Baweja Studios’ Vicky Bahri as a Co-Producer and RSVP’s Sonia Kanwar serving as the Associate Producer, ‘Captain India’ will go on floors early next year.
