The production of Huma Qureshi’s much-anticipated investigative police procedural drama, Bayaan, has officially wrapped up. The news was announced by Platoon One Films, who shared a celebratory video from the wrap party on Instagram. The video captures heartfelt moments of Qureshi, her co-star Sachin Khedakar, and director Bikas Mishra as they share hugs and gratitude with the cast and crew.
Bayaan revolves around the character Roohi, played by Qureshi, who embarks on her first major case as a lead detective in a small town in Rajasthan. The film delves into the complexities of the investigative process and promises a gripping narrative.

The project has been supported by the Hubert Bals Fund from the International Film Festival Rotterdam and benefited from the LA Residency program, part of the Global Media Makers (GMM) initiative by Film Independent. During this residency, director Bikas Mishra received mentorship from Craig Mazin. Additionally, the script was refined with the help of writer Jeff Stockwell and story editor Ruth Atkinson.
Produced by Shiladitya Bora, Bayaan features a talented ensemble cast including Chandrachur Singh, Shampa Mandal, Priti Shukla, Vibhor Mayank, and Aditi Kanchan Singh. Their performances, alongside Mishra’s direction, are anticipated to deliver a gripping narrative that will resonate with audiences.
