We all know how difficult it is to find content that is worth our while. We like our digital screen to be the companion on our way back home from work, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, sometimes late in the nights too. Fret not!
The search is over, thanks to Flipkart, India’s popular e-commerce shopping destination and Guneet Monga, a producer at Sikhya Entertainment. The two have joined forces to present Zindagi inShort, a seven-part anthology, directed by seven filmmakers with unique voices on Flipkart’s very own video platform – Flipkart Video.
The filmmakers who have helmed the short movies are namely Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, Punarvasu Naik, Vijayeta Kumar, Rakesh Sain, Gautam Govind Sharma, Smrutika Panigrahi, & Dr Vinay Chhawal. Some of these directors are first-timers and they’ve spearheaded the films with the endeavour to deliver the impact of a feature-length film in miniature configurations.
Guneet is known for her remarkable productions such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Lunchbox, and Masaan. About the collaboration, Guneet shares, “They are one of the first start-up companies in India and incubated many young engineers and business graduates to work in an e-commerce company and with Zindagi inShort, they are helping a young brigade of talented directors to fly in the film industry.”
Guneet adds, “I am extremely excited and thrilled that, as producers, Flipkart and I can provide a platform for the aspiring filmmakers. This was a very inspired and charged space where everyone came in and worked. This is where all my heart lies. ”

On getting to work with such spectacular directors, Guneet conveys, “Each and every director who has worked on this anthology has been working in the industry for some time now. And I feel this is the right time for them to be launched. They are on the cusp of making a name for themselves and there cannot be a better opportunity for them than this!”
The upcoming Flipkart Original is an anthology of seven compelling stories headlined by some seasoned and supremely talented actors such as Neena Gupta, Sanjay Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Deepak Dobriyal, Swaroop Sampat, Shishir Sharma, Aisha Ahmed, Rima Kallingal, Isha Talwar and Manjot Singh among others.
Speaking about what sets Flipkart Video apart Guneet remarks, “It’s really exciting that the content is free and does not come from a subscription-based model which I think is a barrier for a lot of people in India. Flipkart’s initiative is a great way to overcome this barrier.”
