Review: If you love to watch director Luv Ranjan’s Brand which previously presented some visceral misogyny in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and that you wish to get in Jai Mummy Di, then you will be definitely disappointed.
‘Jai Mummy Di’ is all about the comedy sketch of Delhiites. Children are the main victims of Mogambo types of a parent, ‘aunties’ are noisy, henpecked husbands, clothes are sheeny and bright rather than the jewellery and finally in the midst of hubbub a sweet young couple take the risk to save their forbidden impermissible relationship.
Saanjh Bhalla aka Sonnalli Seygall and Puneet Khanna aka Sunny Singh not only are next-door neighbours but also a secret lover since their high-school. But, their moms Pinky (Poonam Dhillon) and Laali (Supriya Pathak) are at loggerheads to old unsettled matters, which turns out the biggest tremendous hindrance to their relationship. Finally, in the end, the love-birds are tied the knot.

The first half of this film is lightly funny and gradually as a whole fizzle out, once one does not know the total story were to take this film. The story derails way before the intermission and never gets back on track.
It’s all about downgrade for this uninteresting dull anaemic written and sluggish comedy. Sonnalli Seygall, as this bright strong flashy and young lass from Delhi. She looks so glamorous on screen but does not quite manage to get into the high expectation; Sunny Singh keeps a dull sheepish expression throughout the film. Supriya Pathak does bring off the fighting nature of her character Laali with sensible judgement and go through the whole film with the motions mechanically, whereas Poonam Dhillon is frown in an angry. 
All the strong supporting cast fails to achieve high point and save this romcom. There the basic problem is the thin and jerry-built idea. In the finishing of the story where we can’t understand why the two mummies quarrelsome with each other.
‘Jai Mummy Di’ only works for its glam factor and hummable musical content, rest is just monotonous, dull, flat and boring.
