Recently, Homi Adajania shared behind-the-scenes pictures on Instagram, giving fans their first look at the film in progress. The photos show the trio—Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika—looking stylish and full of energy while shooting at an international location. Shahid Kapoor shared a selfie with the caption “New Beginnings!!! Cocktail 2,” further increasing the buzz.
Kriti Sanon, who recently finished working on Tere Ishq Mein with Dhanush, looks confident and glamorous in the pictures. Rashmika Mandanna, coming off her hit Kuberaa, also shared her look from the shoot. The most intriguing update came when Homi posted a black-and-white portrait of Kriti with the words “Work in Progress,” confirming her as the female lead. Kriti reshared the post, writing, “This is gonna be a liberating journey…I can feel it..” Her words suggest that her character will be strong and multi-layered, much like Deepika Padukone’s bold role in the original Cocktail.
Produced by Maddock Films and written by Luv Ranjan, known for creating films that resonate with the younger generation, the full story is still a mystery. However, the film is slated to hit theaters in the second half of 2026.
