Netflix India will share an exclusive sneak-peek of its upcoming horror-thriller series, Betaal, with fans ahead of its launch slated this Sunday (May 24th). The preview ‘Horror Night with Betaal’, a live show, is scheduled for May 23rd at 7.00 pm on Netflix’s YouTube page and will be followed by a fun chat and games with actors Viineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, and directors Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan.
Host and comedian Rohan Joshi will grill Team Betaal about their love for the horror/thriller genre and nuggets from shooting the series, followed by a horror-themed game segment. Viineet Kumar and Aahana Kumra will be seen competing against their directors, Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan.
The story is set in a remote village, which quickly becomes the arena of a breathless battle when a two-century-old East India Company Colonel, infected with the Betaal’s curse, and his battalion of blood-thirsty zombie redcoats are released from their tomb – attacking anything with a pulse. With the CIPD (Counter Insurgency Police Department) forces pitted against the undead army, hapless civilians are trapped in a gripping, edge-of-your-seat conflict.
Aahana Kumra, who is known to play versatile characters, will be seen as Ahluwalia, a Deputy Commandant at CIPD (Counter Insurgency Police Department) Baaz Squad in this series. She is fearless, the toughest member of the Baaz Squad and Vikram Sirohi’s friend. She chooses to do the right thing even if it means to go against the order of her seniors. Mess with her but at your own risk!
Betaal is directed by Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan and written by Patrick Graham and Suhani Kanwar. The series is executive produced by Blumhouse Television and SK Global Entertainment and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Starring Viineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai, Jitendra Joshi, Jatin Goswami, Manjiri Pupala, and Syna Anand, the series promises a gripping story and battle between the living and dead that will keep you hooked till the very end.
Betaal releases on May 24, 2020, exclusively on Netflix
