Amid growing buzz about Allu Arjun possibly shifting his base to Mumbai, fresh clarifications from sources close to the actor have firmly denied the speculation, calling it baseless and inaccurate.
The rumours, which gained traction in recent weeks, suggested that the actor might shift his base from Hyderabad to Mumbai for a few years to manage his growing work commitments.
According to insiders, there is no truth to these claims. The actor continues to remain based in Hyderabad and has no plans—temporary or otherwise—to relocate. A source, quoted by Deccan Chronicle, clarified that Allu Arjun is “happily and comfortably settled in Hyderabad” and remains deeply connected to the city.
The speculation appears to have stemmed from the actor’s frequent presence in Mumbai. However, sources indicate that these visits are strictly work-related. Allu Arjun is currently occupied with director Atlee’s upcoming project Raaka, which also features Deepika Padukone.
The film, mounted on a large scale, requires extensive shooting schedules in Mumbai, including elaborate set constructions. Adding to the demands is the nature of Allu Arjun’s role, which reportedly involves multiple avatars, necessitating longer schedules and focused preparation.
Despite these commitments, the actor is said to be managing travel between cities rather than opting for a permanent shift. Sources reiterated that there are “no such plans” for relocation, countering earlier reports suggesting a temporary move.
Meanwhile, discussions around a potential collaboration between Allu Arjun and filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar have also surfaced in recent months. While initial conversations did take place, the project is currently not progressing, with sources indicating it is on hold for now.
For the moment, Allu Arjun remains rooted in Hyderabad, balancing a demanding pan-India work schedule without making any changes to his home base.
