Recalling the moment, Akshay wrote that Dimple had warned him to be prepared to burst into laughter at the most unexpected times because that’s exactly what Twinkle would do. Twenty-five years later, he admitted—with fond amusement—that his mother-in-law was absolutely right. From refusing to walk straight to choosing to “dance through life,” Twinkle, he said, has kept him laughing, guessing, and occasionally anxious, making every year together memorable. Signing off with “Happy anniversary to us, Tina,” Akshay described their journey as “25 years of madness that we both love.”
The couple had tied the knot in 2001 in an intimate ceremony that reflected their low-key sensibilities.
