Having captured the interest of audiences since the first episode released on Disney+ Hotstar Premium, the shocking revelation in the season finale made Mare of Easttown the talk of the town.
Set in a small town of Pennsylvania, the 7-episode series follows the case of a local murder investigated by detective Mare Sheehan – brilliantly portrayed by actor Kate Winslet. Through the investigation, several hidden truths come to the fore and put the spotlight on multiple suspects who were all known to the victim Erin McMenamin.
Fans have had theories on who could be the real murderer, but post the season finale, netizens couldn’t keep calm and the internet was buzzing with chatter around the big reveal. While some heaped praise on Kate Winslet’s performance, others shared memes of their reaction to the climax.
