Valentine’s Day is around the corner, which calls for an extra special date night this Sunday. Masala Library by Jiggs Kalra, the first modern Indian restaurant to introduce elements of molecular gastronomy in Indian cooking, is offering a special Chef’s Tasting Menu, just for the occasion.
Vegetarian diners can begin this indulgent, five-course meal with an Amuse Bouche, followed by a series of Snacks like a modernist Dahi Bada, aerated vada served with sweet yogurt foam, tamarind chutney and gram crisps; Makhana Katori Chaat served in a crispy noodle basket; Panchpuran Crostini, Edamame Ragda; and Farmer’s Staple 4.0, traditional Mangalorean buns made of fermented dough and ripe banana, served with coconut butter.
A Charred Corn Soup with spiced popcorn will follow. Diners will then choose between Starters like Mutter Shammi, Varki Pratha; and Shrooms, a Masala Library signature dish, featuring four different mushrooms tossed with truffle and cream, garnished with enoki mushroom and porcini dust; or Multan Paneer Tikka with Tandoori Pepper Salsa; and Beetroot Chevere Kebab.
