The actress’s first look from Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups was unveiled on Saturday, and it instantly set social media abuzz. Draped in a striking strapless gown, lace gloves, and voluminous, retro-inspired hair, Tara exudes both elegance and danger. In her hand, a gun rests pointed, her gaze sharp and unflinching—a declaration that her character, Rebecca, is not to be underestimated.

The film, a period gangster drama directed by Geetu Mohandas, sees Tara stepping into a stylishly intense world that blends vintage glamour with raw power. Yash, who stars alongside her and co-writes the film, introduced her as Rebecca with the caption: “Introducing Tara Sutaria as REBECCA in – A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.”
This release follows a series of character reveals from the film, including Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, and Nayanthara as Ganga, all sporting retro-inspired aesthetics. Tara’s portrayal promises to add a mix of intensity and elegance to this ensemble of strong female leads.
Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic has been in the works unofficially since 2018. Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, the film is set to release in multiple South Indian languages and Hindi on March 19, coinciding with Ugadi.
