She made her literary debut with a novel titled ‘Mapping Love.’ The book has been receiving lots of praise ever since its launch.  Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is overwhelmed with such a massive response and is clueless about her feelings. She took to social media and expressed her unfeigned and profound gratitude.

Taking to Instagram space, she dropped a photo of her book making it to the ‘top 5 bestsellers fiction’ on two leading newspapers recommendation lists. With the image, she also penned a sweet note stating her raw feelings and thanking the people that were a part of her journey.

Undoubtedly like movies, her literature debut is a blockbuster. Her work has been well-received. However, her success to fame is nothing short of remarkable. She started her career in the creative field with advertisement films before she graduated to scriptwriting and directing. Now with her very first novel, she seems to master the art of versatility and creativity.

Ashwiny’s book is featured in the best selling books alongside Sudha Murthy’s.

On the work front, the filmmaker is all set to debut in the OTT world with the web series titled ‘Faadu’. The series will stream exclusively in Sony LIV. Whereas she also has another web series titled ‘Breakpoint’ which will stream on Zee5  in her pipeline. She is currently researching the life story of Mr. Narayana Murthy and Mrs. Sudha Murthy. She considers this work as one of her most cherished projects.

Even her sports drama ‘Panga’ starring Kangana Ranaut spoke volumes about her commendable art of storytelling.

Recently, she added another feather to her cap and turned author. She made her literary debut with a novel titled ‘Mapping Love.’ The novel has been launched and as expected it garnered immense love from every corner. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is overwhelmed with such a massive response and is clueless about her feelings. She took to social media and expressed her unfeigned and profound gratitude.

In the caption, she wrote, “I don’t know what to feel now. But all I can say is it’s an enthralling experience of gratitude and a dream that I saw a few years ago. I have been asked many times How did I manage this? Maybe it’s almost visualizing and working diligently without losing focus and believing in the goodness of the process with a mind of everyday gratitude. It’s similar to seeing the reaction to an audience crying and laughing with you as they watch your movies with oneness. Thank you for all the love for #Mappinglove A very small creation is available in all book stores shining bright with many brilliant authors I have admired. This unexpected love will be cherished for a lifetime.”

Ashwiny took almost 3 years to finish the book, with the lockdown to expedite the process. To bring the real essence of love and nature in her novel, she travelled extensively across numerous places and gathered inspiration.  The novel is now available in bookstores.

Apart from debuting in the literary world, multifaceted filmmaker, Ashwiny will soon make a debut in the OTT world with the web series ‘Faddu’ on Sony Liv and a docu drama ‘Breakpoint’ on Zee5. She is also gearing up for her next project based on the life story of Mr. Narayana Murthy and Mrs Sudha Murthy, which she considers a most cherished project.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari made her Bollywood debut by directing the 2016 comedy-drama Nil Battey Sannata. Since then, there’s no looking back for her. She further went on to deliver some of the powerful masterpieces in Bollywood including ‘Bareilly ki Barfi’ and ‘Panga’ to name a few. After treating the audiences with such critically acclaimed and entertaining movies, she is now all set to explore the new journey of writing as she put pen to paper with her debut novel titled ‘Mapping Love’.

For this novel to come across as more aesthetic among readers, Ashwiny took almost three years to finish the book whereas lockdown hastened the process. While creating ‘Mapping Love’ she traveled extensively across several places to gather some inspiration and thoughts for the novel.

Revealing her journey of writing this novel, she said, “Travel is a very important part of my being. Visiting new places, understanding the culture, the ethnography of a place, and people give me a lot of ideas and inspire me to adapt it in the movies I make or even in the stories I write. In Mapping love the places I have visited and researched played an important role in shaping the story. Whether it’s my love for the jungles or the mountains or the spiritual calling that attracts each one of us to spend time in the unknown places that becomes your own after a while. The rooted connection of place and time creates stories that deepen the story and the characters with your vivid imagination.”

She further adds, “I carry my book wherever I go and write notes which come back with me home and most of the time the notes gets translated with my fiction and characters and the place they belong to are born with these notes. Travel opens your mind to various possibilities in my case it opened my imagination as a storyteller. Sometimes as a learner sometimes as a seeker.”

‘Mapping love’ will be available in bookstores from 1st August. The book has already created much hype among the reader and garnered a lot of positive reviews till now. Her fans are eagerly waiting to witness another masterpiece from the talented and multi-faceted filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.
