The first actress ever to have gone digital, Radhika Apte is a force to be reckoned with. She had stepped on the digital ladder before the masses could and that speaks well enough. The digital disruptor, so to say, the actress has time and again with her exemplary work and unending love for art defined that creativity is not restricted to any medium.
The brilliantly talented and stunning actress turns 36 today, has contributed several remarkable performances over the last decade. From portraying pivotal roles in films like Andhadhun to the web shows like Sacred Games, Ghoul, Radhika never fails to stun fans with the hard work and determination she does for her all projects.
The actress shared, “I don’t understand the problem in doing a project for an OTT platform over a film. I don’t strive for an image. If the content is good then I have logic for doing it. If you’re an actor, you need to find roles that make you happy or challenge you rather than worry about your image.”
She continues, her passion palpable, “I really enjoyed working on Phobia (2016). I enjoy a lot of the roles I take up, but it’s like they give you a spoon and say, ‘That’s it, you can’t have the rest of the dessert.’ That’s how I feel when I think of an Andhadhun (2018) or a Lust Stories (2018).”
She also speaks in a language most creatives can relate to, regardless of their domain. “I am not sure how to define creativity, it’s a bit of an ongoing process. It’s constant. It is the only process in me that makes other things in life easier. It helps me try different things, explore who I am,” she adds.
Radhika Apte was surely ahead of her time and even today she continues to be showered with praises and appreciation across platforms.
After impressing fans with a phenomenal performance in the series, ‘Ok Computer’, Radhika is all set to thrill fans again with some interesting mix of works.
