After resolving a heinous and horrific criminal case in Season 1, DCP Vartika Chaturvedi aka Shefali Shah is back with the second installment of Delhi Crime on Netflix. She is again guiding and leading her team, newly promoted Neeti Singh aka Rasika Dugal and Bhupendra Singh aka Rajesh Tailang.
This season will see Vartika and her team maneuver through complex situations, both personally and professionally, as a heinous crime takes center stage. The teaser of the series was revealed along with the announcement of the premiere date. The crime drama unfold on August 26 on Netflix this August.
Netflix India took to their Instagram page and shared the teaser of the second installment of Delhi Crime. Captioned it, “A terrifying menace has taken Delhi by surprise. Is the Delhi Police prepared to take on this new threat? #DelhiCrime Season 2 Coming Soon (sic),”
The first season of Delhi Crime won the best drama series at the 48th International Emmy Awards in 2020 and this upcoming installment is also inspired by true events. Along with Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, actors Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Sidharth Bhardwaj and Gopal Dutt reprise powerful roles.
The season is penned by Mayank Tewari, Shubhra Swarup and Ensia Mirza. Created by Richie Mehta and produced by SK Global Entertainment, Golden Karavan, and Film Karavan.
