One of the most-awaited crime-thriller of the year, Cold Case is all set to release on the last day of June exclusively On Amazon Prime Video.
The trailer of the hair-raising movie dropped recently, which gave us all a better glimpse into the storyline and stirred curiosity among the fans, leaving them restless and eager for the film.
Aditi Balan, one of the leads of Cold Case, opened up on what exactly attracted her to this project.
She shared “One, I’ve always been a huge fan of Malayalam cinema. So, I wanted to pick an opportunity. Two, it’s got Prithviraj in it. I used to be a huge fan when I was a kid. Three, my character has a track of her own in the entire story. And this is kind of my first time working in a thriller with horror elements. So, I thought it would be challenging for me to portray a character with subtle emotions and expressions in a film with supernatural occurrences.”
Further adding on, she stated “I wanted to explore such a script. And I also realized that the story would allow me to fulfill a childhood dream – to be a detective. In this script, I’m not a detective, but my character is of someone who is investigating a situation, looking and going in search of things and eventually solving it.”
Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran as an ACP and Aditi Balan as an investigative journalist, the duo cross path as they unravel a complex murder mystery. But things turn even more interesting when the case takes a strange angle as supernatural forces become a part of the case.
Co-produced by Plan J Studios and Anto Joseph Films, Cold Case is the directorial debut of Tarun Balak. The movie is all set to release globally on 30th June, exclusively on Amazon Prime Videos.
