Saurabh Shukla’s role as godman ‘Tapasvi Maharaj’ in PK has been one of his best roles till date drawing him some rave reviews. It is indeed the most difficult part to essay a character that doesn’t resonate with our real life. However, Saurabh aced it. PK centres around an alien on Earth who loses the only device he can use to communicate with his spaceship. His innocent nature and child-like questions force the country to evaluate the impact of religion on its people.
Pandurang in Nayak: The Real Hero
In the film, Saurabh Shukla is seen essaying the character of Amrish Puri’s accomplice who is a moral police head. Nayak: The Real Hero revolves around a common journalist played by Anil Kapoor who accepts a challenge by the chief minister of Maharashtra to run the state for one day, and makes such a success of it that soon he is embroiled in political intrigue.
Chhalaang is a hilarious, yet inspirational journey of a PT master from a semi government funded school in Northern India. Montu (Rajkummar Rao) is a typical PT master for who, it’s just a job.
