The high-octane thriller franchise Race is officially revving up for its fourth installment, and the buzz is already making headlines. Production house Tips Films announced on Sunday that Race 4 is currently in the scripting stage, with discussions underway with actors Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the lead roles.

In an official statement, Tips Films clarified ongoing speculations surrounding the film’s cast. “We would like to clarify that we are currently in discussions only with Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the next installment of the Race franchise (Race 4), which is currently in its scripting phase. No other male or female actors have been approached at this stage. We sincerely request the media and social media pages to avoid engaging with false news and to wait for an official confirmation from our PR team,” the statement read.
Earlier rumors had hinted at Harshvardhan Rane and Rakul Preet Singh joining the cast, but the production house has now firmly denied these claims.
The Race franchise, known for its slick visuals, unexpected plot twists, and adrenaline-fueled action sequences, began its journey in 2008 with Race, followed by Race 2 in 2013—both of which starred Saif Ali Khan and went on to become box office successes. However, the third installment, Race 3 (2018), headlined by Salman Khan, received mixed reviews, leaving fans divided. With Race 4, the makers are seemingly returning to the franchise’s roots, bringing back Saif, whose suave performance has long been associated with the series’ signature style.
Saif Ali Khan is currently riding a career wave, having recently appeared in the Telugu action-fantasy Devara: Part 1. He is also gearing up for the release of his next venture, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, which promises a thrilling ride on Netflix later this year.
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is currently filming Param Sundari, a romantic comedy opposite Janhvi Kapoor. With his evolving filmography, Malhotra’s potential inclusion in Race 4 suggests an exciting new dynamic for the franchise.
While Race 4 is still in its early stages, the confirmation of Saif and Sidharth’s potential pairing has already piqued the interest of fans.
