Shatters the trailer viewership of the biggest blockbusters and breaks the glass ceiling for films led by women. Panga trailer gets an amazing response, garners over 44million views in a day, turning into the most viewed trailer of 2019.
Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari adds, “It’s heartwarming to see so much love showered for Panga. It also makes me believe stories that are truly told from the heart resonate to an audience who is willing to accept us no matter who we are and where we come from. This is the new changing unapologetic India,’’.
Kangana expressing her feelings says, “For me, it’s very welcoming to see that a film on a mother, which is about a mother being given a second chance, is getting such an extraordinary response from the audiences. I think it’s high time that we encourage, support, co-operate and give respect to the working mothers…..the respect that they deserve.”
Ashwiny shares, “I wanted to keep evolving with stories that talk about the relationships in a new age Indian family. Fox Star Studios is exactly in the same space of storytelling and I am filled with gratitude to work with them to see our vision unfold and create characters and stories that would be relatable to all and still be unique. I don’t think so anyone could have played the role of a mother as beautiful as her. Getting the insights could not have come if you would have not lived and seen that.’’
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut and Jassie Gill has broken the internet and is receiving overwhelming love and appreciation. The trailer, a rousing tribute to living your dreams and giving them a second chance, was launched recently and is being loved unanimously across all age groups.
Panga is produced by Fox Star Studios. The film also features Neena Gupta and Richa Chadda in pivotal roles. The film is slated for 24th January 2020 release.
