Netflix has officially begun production on the highly anticipated second season of Nobody Wants This, with filming underway in Los Angeles. The streaming giant announced the news on Friday, revealing that the follow-up season is expected to debut later this year.
The series, which made its debut in September 2024, stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, a sex podcaster who unexpectedly falls for Noah, a rabbi played by Adam Brody. The show quickly gained a devoted following, leading to its renewal just a month after its premiere.
A newly released production still offers a sneak peek at Season 2, showing Bell and Brody in an intimate moment on a sofa, while a production assistant claps the slate to mark a take.

Created by Erin Foster and helmed by showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, Nobody Wants This centers on the unconventional romance between Joanne, an outspoken agnostic, and Noah, a warmhearted rabbi. The series received critical acclaim and multiple award nominations, including nods at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Critics Choice Awards. Notably, Brody took home the Critics Choice Award for his portrayal of Noah.
With production now in full swing, fans can eagerly anticipate another season filled with humor, romance, and unexpected twists. Nobody Wants This Season 2 is set to deliver even more heart and hilarity when it returns to Netflix later this year.
