Yash’s upcoming action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has remained one of the most closely guarded projects in Indian cinema, with the makers revealing very little about its storyline and characters. However, a new report has offered fans a glimpse into the film’s romantic narrative, suggesting that Tara Sutaria and Kiara Advani will be the only actresses paired opposite the Kannada superstar.

According to reports, Tara Sutaria plays a key role in the first half of the film and shares a prominent romantic journey with Yash’s character. Kiara Advani is also said to have a significant love story with the protagonist, making the two actresses the only romantic leads despite the film featuring several prominent female characters.

The update arrives shortly after the release of Tabaahi, the film’s first song, which highlighted the chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani. The music video generated considerable buzz on social media, with fans praising the duo’s on-screen presence and eagerly awaiting more glimpses from the film.

Apart from Yash, Tara Sutaria and Kiara Advani, Toxic features an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth in pivotal roles. While their characters are expected to play crucial parts in the narrative, the filmmakers have chosen not to disclose specific details, adding to the intrigue surrounding the project.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is set against the backdrop of the drug mafia and blends elements of period drama, action and crime. The film is particularly significant as it marks Yash’s first theatrical release since the phenomenal success of the KGF franchise.

Backed by KVN Productions in association with Monster Mind Creations, the film has been mounted on a grand scale as a bilingual Kannada-English production and will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. With its star-studded cast, intriguing premise and growing anticipation, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is set to arrive in cinemas worldwide on August 26, 2026.
