Fashion platforms today are no longer just about runway presentations—they are immersive spaces where design, culture and contemporary lifestyle intersect. At the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, L’Atelier 1664 continues to strengthen its presence, returning with a creative collaboration that highlights the dialogue between global design sensibilities and Indian craftsmanship.

Building on last year’s successful partnership, L’Atelier 1664 once again brings its design-focused cultural platform to one of India’s most influential fashion stages. This season, the platform joins hands with celebrated design house Abraham & Thakore to present a special runway collection that explores the evolving language of modern fashion.

Titled “The Sari’torial,” the collection reflects an intriguing meeting of structured tailoring and fluid draping. Drawing inspiration from the interplay between French ease and Indian craftsmanship, the showcase reimagines everyday silhouettes with refined detailing, signature textiles and a restrained colour palette. The designs are subtly accented with L’Atelier 1664’s distinctive house blue, adding a contemporary touch to the traditional narrative.

The collection focuses on the balance between form and movement—where tailored elements meet the softness of draped fabrics. Abraham & Thakore’s design philosophy, known for its thoughtful minimalism and emphasis on textile heritage, lends itself naturally to this collaboration. Through “Sari’torial,” the designers reinterpret classic Indian crafts through a modern, global lens.

Beyond the runway, L’Atelier 1664 will also introduce its signature lounge at Lakmé Fashion Week, creating an experiential space that reflects the platform’s ethos of blending design, culture and contemporary lifestyle. The lounge will serve as a gathering point for designers, fashion insiders and cultural tastemakers attending the event.

Speaking about the association, Partha Sarathi Jha, Vice President – Marketing at Carlsberg India, shared that Lakmé Fashion Week remains one of the most significant platforms for creative expression in India. Through L’Atelier 1664, the brand aims to celebrate the intersection of culture, design and contemporary lifestyle while continuing its collaboration with Abraham & Thakore to bring this vision to the runway.

The designers behind Abraham & Thakore also highlighted that “Sari’torial” is an exploration of the conversation between French sensibility and Indian textile traditions. By blending relaxed European aesthetics with the richness of Indian craftsmanship, the collection offers a fresh interpretation of heritage through modern design.

Through this continued collaboration with Lakmé Fashion Week, L’Atelier 1664 further strengthens its engagement with India’s evolving fashion landscape, celebrating the dynamic relationship between design innovation, cultural heritage and contemporary style.
