Marjaavaan is a romantic action movie, which is directed by Milap Zaveri, and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Monisha Adwani, Krishan Kumar, MadhuBhojwani, NikkhilAdwani.Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh in took the whole attention of the audience. After ‘Ek Villain’’ it is the second collaboration of Sidharth, Ritesh and Zaveri. At this time this film raked in Rs 32 crore on Day 5. In a candid chat with us Sidharth, Riteish shares their funny experience of shooting and all that.

Expresso: As per you, what are the ‘Marjaavaan Moments’?
Sidharth: For me, the ‘Marjaavaan Moments’ would surely be my first audition, selection and then coming to Mumbai for that. After that my first movie would definitely be my ‘Marjaavaan Moments’ among all these too. Finally, ‘Marjaavaan’ released and response from the audience would surely be another ‘Marjaavaan Moments’ for me. I would say the complete mood that the film creates is a complete ‘Marjaavaan’ mood. 
Expresso: The message of the movie is ‘Ishq Mein Maarunga Bhi Marunga Bhi’, what does this mean?
Sidharth: The message of the movie depicts that whoever will come in between your love or will try to harm your love will end up losing his life.
Expresso: Is ‘Marjaavaan’ a tribute to the 90’s movies?
Riteish: Siddharth and I have been brought up in the era of 90’s movies, and I especially have even watched the movies of the 70’s movies. So from that time itself, those movies seemed quite larger than life to me.
Throughout my career, I never got a chance to play these larger than life roles, and finally, when I got my desired role, I had to face ironies. As you know my height is quite short in the movie, and here I got the chance to play a larger than life role. So, the whole process was quite exciting for me.
As Monisha earlier mentioned, some name our country India and some as Hindustan and it is important to make movies for both kinds of audiences. This is important because the movies should be loved and understood by every person who will watch it.
Expresso: How did the actresses Tara Sutariya and Rakul Preet impark on your mind?
Monisha: This film is filled with different types of dialogues, but the irony is the heroine of the movie, Tara Sutaria who cannot speak. But, one of the most amazing facts is in spite of staying mute, she has excellently played her character, and I am sure the audience will love her performance. The main matter of the movie is the chemistry between Raghu and Zoya, and the way Tara played her character is unbelievably beautiful. From this movie, Tara has successfully taken a major challenge in her career.

Expresso: How was your experience while shooting the movie?
Sidharth: Well if you ask me then I enjoyed while shooting for the movie. Earlier I have done other movies like ‘Brother’, ‘Ek Villain’, but never got the chance to play such a larger than life character. The movie has a lot of energy and my character, especially is quite powerful since we all feel good about breaking the chains. I always wanted to play the role of a hero who would have an amazing love story and will fight with the villains when I was a child. Today, the role that I played in the movie has fulfilled my dream to play a larger than life role.
Expresso: Do you want to see yourself playing the role of a villain in the future?
Sidharth: I guess I will and Riteish has also done the same as well. If I get a great script where I have to play the role of a villain then definitely I will.
Expresso: After ‘Ek Villain’ what changes have you noticed in Sidharth?
Riteish: After ‘Ek Villain’ when we met for this film once again, I felt that he developed a lot of different changes, which was important for this character. Most of us strive to give our best as a day finishes and it is necessary to upgrade yourself to come up with better results. What Siddharth did for this movie is quite inspiring, and that’s what the change I have noticed in him after ‘Ek Villain’.
