Yami Gautam Dhar’s Haq is getting a fresh wave of love following its Netflix release, and filmmaker Farah Khan is clearly impressed. The director recently took to social media to heap praise on Yami and her co-star Emraan Hashmi after watching the courtroom drama, further fuelling the film’s growing buzz online.
On Wednesday, Farah shared the poster of Haq on her Instagram Stories and had nothing but glowing words for its leading lady. “Yami Gautam, get ready to receive every award! Outstanding performance,” she wrote. Farah also applauded Emraan Hashmi, adding, “You are the best to date.” Her enthusiastic shout-out quickly caught fans’ attention, with many echoing her sentiments.

Farah’s appreciation follows similar praise from other members of the film fraternity. Actor Kiara Advani, after watching the film on Netflix, shared her reaction on social media, calling Yami’s performance “beautiful.” Actor Sanjay Kapoor also gave the film a thumbs up, describing Haq as an “excellent film.”
Directed by Suparn Verma, Haq stars Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, with Sheeba Chaddha playing a pivotal character. Produced by Vineet Jain, Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta and Harman Baweja under Junglee Pictures, Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios, the film is inspired by the landmark Supreme Court judgement in Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum.
The film follows the story of Bano, a woman who seeks justice after her husband marries his cousin, delving into the complex space where personal faith, social customs and constitutional law collide. While Haq received positive reviews during its theatrical run in 2025, it managed a modest ₹29 crore at the worldwide box office.
With Farah Khan’s endorsement and mounting audience praise, Haq is clearly enjoying a strong second innings—proving once again that good content often finds its audience on OTT.
