Emraan Hashmi returns to the big screen in a power-packed avatar as BSF officer Narendra Nath Dubey in Ground Zero, an action-packed drama inspired by true events. The official trailer, released on Monday by Excel Entertainment, offers a gripping glimpse into the emotionally charged and intense narrative set in the early 2000s amid the turmoil in Kashmir.
Set in 2001, the two-minute-and-42-second trailer opens with a volatile backdrop where escalating violence claims the lives of over 70 soldiers. Amid this unrest, Emraan Hashmi’s character, Narendra Nath Dubey, steps into the conflict zone with a mission — not just to lead military operations but to win over hearts and change the mindset of the people of Kashmir. His battle, however, is not just against armed militants but also against deep-seated fear and mistrust.

Despite his sincere attempts to bring peace and hope, the cycle of violence refuses to relent, with massacres and bloodshed haunting the land. The film dives deep into the internal and external struggles of those who stand at the frontlines, making it much more than just a war drama — it’s a story of resilience, sacrifice, and determination.
Ground Zero is based on the real-life story of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dubey, who was awarded the Kirti Chakra, India’s second-highest peacetime gallantry award, by former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film features a stellar supporting cast including Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Rockey Raina, Deepak Paramesh, and Lalit Prabhakar. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner, the movie promises an emotionally engaging and action-packed cinematic experience.
With its potent mix of action, emotion, and real-life inspiration, Ground Zero is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the season. It hits theatres on April 25.
