Singer, Baby Doll fame Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive for the coronavirus today. Now She has been admitted to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital in Lucknow. She is a popular singer and the first Bollywood celeb who got infected with this novel coronavirus.
A little while ago, the singer confirms the news through Instagram. She gave a statement and revealed, “For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19.
My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well.
I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10days ago when I came back home, the symptoms have developed only 4 days ago. At this stage, I would like to urge you all to practice self-isolation and get tested if you have the signs.
I am feeling ok, like normal flu and a mild fever, however, we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives.”

According to father Rajiv Kapoor, Kanika reached Mumbai on 10th and the next day she travels to Lucknow. She was normal when came to Lucknow and had no signs of any illness. She attended three-four social gathering also.
He also added that two days ago she had a fever and they are consulted their family doctor who suggested that testing for COVID-19.
On the other hand, according to the report, Kanika had returned from the UK on Sunday. She had to covered up her tour history from the authorities. She was staying in a five-star hotel and also attended a party where more than 100 guests were present. The reaction of the public was a mix of sympathy and anger for the singer. Because she didn’t take precautions to avoid the spread of novel coronavirus.
