Veteran actor and global cinema icon Anupam Kher is all set to dazzle the international stage with his directorial comeback, Tanvi The Great, which is slated to have its world premiere at the prestigious 78th Cannes Film Festival. Kher made the announcement on Monday via Instagram, calling it “more than a moment—it’s the beginning of a global journey.”
The film will be screened at the Marché du Film (MDF) segment of Cannes, setting the tone for a global tour with planned screenings in major cities including London, New York, and Los Angeles. The premiere marks Kher’s return to the director’s chair after a gap of 23 years, his last directorial being Om Jai Jagadish in 2002.

Tanvi The Great is a musical drama, and it boasts an impressive creative team. The songs have been penned by celebrated lyricist Kausar Munir, while the music is composed by none other than Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani, known globally for his work in RRR and Baahubali.
Produced under the banner of Anupam Kher Studios, the film officially began production on March 8, and has since generated buzz across the industry and beyond.
