Rajkummar Rao is all set to return to the comedy space with Toaster, Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy that promises chaos, eccentricity, and a wildly entertaining premise built around one very ordinary household appliance. Premiering on April 15, 2026, the film turns a seemingly trivial wedding gift into the starting point of an absurd and escalating chain of events.

She further added that making Toaster as their very first film has made the experience all the more personal, and bringing together such a talented ensemble for the project has been especially exciting.
For Netflix India, Toaster fits right into its growing slate of fresh, offbeat storytelling. Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, described the film as a quirky dark comedy that takes a simple man’s obsessive mission and turns it into complete mayhem.
