Netflix’s International Emmy Award-winning series Delhi Crime is back, and this time, the stakes are higher than ever. The gripping police procedural returns for its third season with Shefali Shah reprising her celebrated role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi — fondly known as Madam Sir — as she faces her most daunting case yet.

The newly released trailer for Delhi Crime Season 3 teases a chilling narrative that moves beyond the capital, expanding into a network of crime that stretches across India. The story centers on a large-scale human trafficking operation, where women and children are treated as commodities, vanishing under the guise of job offers and false promises.

At the heart of the chaos stands Vartika Chaturvedi, leading her trusted squad — including familiar faces Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain — as they uncover disturbing truths buried beneath layers of power, corruption, and silence. The plot takes a darker turn with the introduction of Huma Qureshi as Badi Didi, a ruthless and enigmatic antagonist who orchestrates the trafficking network from the shadows.

“A crime that crosses every border, a criminal that crosses every line,” reads Netflix’s tagline for the new season — perfectly setting the tone for the intense face-off between two women on opposite sides of justice.

Directed by Tanuj Chopra, Delhi Crime Season 3 stays true to its roots of realism and empathy. Like its predecessors — with Season 1 inspired by the Nirbhaya case and Season 2 exploring the menace of the Kachha Baniyan gang — the third chapter draws from multiple real-life events tied to human trafficking, offering a deeply unsettling yet compelling narrative.

“With Season 3, our goal was to craft a story that feels both timely and profoundly human,” shares Chopra. “Every season of Delhi Crime is designed to stand on its own, and this one is no different — whether you’re returning to the show or watching it for the first time, you can dive right in. The challenges Vartika faces this time are more intense than ever, with every clue and setback pushing her team to their absolute limits.”

Produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, the new season features a stellar ensemble cast, including Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji, alongside Shefali Shah and Huma Qureshi in powerhouse performances.

As the investigation unravels across regions — from Assam to Delhi to Rohtak — Delhi Crime Season 3 promises to explore not only the dark underbelly of trafficking but also the resilience of those fighting against it.

Packed with suspense, emotional grit, and socially conscious storytelling, Delhi Crime Season 3 is set to be one of the year’s most awaited crime thrillers.

Delhi Crime Season 3 premieres on November 13, exclusively on Netflix.
