Amitabh Bachchan, one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated icons, recently shared a heartfelt note of pride and affection for his grandson Agastya Nanda, who is set to make his big-screen debut in Ikkis. The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his admiration for Agastya’s dedication and hard work, applauding the young actor for taking on such a meaningful and challenging role.

In his post, Bachchan wrote, “Agastya .. so proud of you .. love and wishes for success .. On 25th December, bravery marches into cinemas. Witness the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra hero. #IkkisTrailerOutNow #Ikkis in cinemas worldwide this Christmas.”

The emotional message struck a chord with fans, who flooded social media with love and support for the grandfather-grandson duo. Many praised the warmth of Amitabh’s words, noting how special it is to see the legendary actor express such personal pride publicly.

Ikkis, directed by the acclaimed Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, tells the extraordinary real-life story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal — India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. At just 21, Khetarpal’s bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war made him a lasting symbol of courage and sacrifice. The film aims to shed light on his heroism, capturing the indomitable spirit of youth and patriotism.

With the trailer already creating buzz, fans are eagerly awaiting the film’s release on December 25. For Agastya, this project marks a major milestone — not only as his debut feature but also as an opportunity to embody one of the nation’s most inspiring young heroes.

Amitabh Bachchan’s heartfelt endorsement has only added to the anticipation, amplifying the excitement around the film’s Christmas release.

On the professional front, Bachchan was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, where he delivered yet another powerful performance — a testament to his enduring passion for storytelling across generations.
