A new Imtiaz Ali film is always reason enough for excitement — and this time, it’s Vedang Raina and Sharvari stepping into the director’s world of emotion, music, and storytelling. The untitled project has officially gone on floors, and the buzz around it is already building.
Vedang Raina recently shared a series of pictures from the Golden Temple in Amritsar, where he and Sharvari were seen seeking blessings before beginning the shoot. Dressed in a white kurta and blue jeans, with his head covered in an orange cloth bearing the Khanda symbol, Vedang looked calm and grounded. Beside him, Sharvari was also seen sitting peacefully, marking a spiritual start to their new journey.

Sharing the photos on Instagram, Vedang captioned them: “Asking for strength and blessings to show up better every day. All in and surrendered to begin this next chapter of my life and ready for whatever it takes from me and gives to me. Grateful to be a part of this special film and privileged to be working with the most amazing and talented set of people @imtiazaliofficial @naseeruddin49 @diljitdosanjh @sharvari Sukh aur Shanti.”
Another photo from the post revealed a clapboard, officially signalling the start of filming. The film, yet to be titled, also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles, adding even more anticipation to the project.
On the professional front, Vedang Raina was last seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Jigra, where his performance was widely appreciated. Sharvari, who delivered a box office hit with Munjya, will next be seen in YRF’s Alpha, also starring Alia Bhatt.
With an exciting cast, Imtiaz Ali’s direction, and the energy of two promising young stars, this project already feels special. As shooting begins, fans are eager to see how Vedang and Sharvari bring their chemistry and freshness to the filmmaker’s signature cinematic universe.
