Amid these tough times, Bollywood fans have often sought movies that could be a source of inspiration to face challenges with a smile. Vidya Balan who is admired by fans across the country for her inspirational roles in movies such as Tumhari Sulu and Lage Raho Munna Bhai has spoken about how Tumhari Sulu can serve as inspiration for all the Bollywood fans.
Sending a message to her fans ahead of the telecast of Tumhari Sulu on Sony MAX on 3rd June, Vidya said, “Tumhari Sulu is a story that gives hope to viewers that everything is possible. Whenever you need inspiration please watch the film.”
Sharing her experience being as a Radio Jockey in the movie, Vidya adds, “I think the most fascinating aspect of an RJ is that you have to convey everything through your voice. Yet with this challenge, it’s great to see how RJs connect so beautifully with the listeners. In both my films Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Tumhari Sulu, the RJs were completely different people with completely different styles and I think that was very challenging for me.”
Sharing how she is spending quality time with her family during self-isolation, she added, “I love watching my films on television with my entire family. It is always great to watch older films and re-visit the memories grooving on evergreen songs. I am grateful to Sony MAX for showing Tumhari Sulu and keeping families entertained. I can never get bored of watching it again and again on television especially when I see my family enjoying it.”
