Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, better known as Orry, is facing strong criticism online after he allegedly made a derogatory comment about the transgender community.
Orry shared a video of a confrontation between two trans women and a few attendees at a public event. Along with the video, he wrote, “You attend a comedy show and two c***** get into a quarrel behind you.”*
The post immediately sparked outrage, with many social media users calling out his choice of words as insensitive and disrespectful.

“This is a new low. Your content was fine when it wasn’t hurting anyone, but this was dehumanising,” one user commented. Another wrote, “You profit from queer culture and yet spread the same hate — that’s really shameful.”
Several users also highlighted the hypocrisy of mocking the transgender community while being part of a social circle that celebrates inclusivity and representation.
A third comment read, “Try spending a night on the streets without privilege or protection, and see how it feels to be disrespected. Maybe then you’ll understand the pain your words cause.”
Orry was recently seen attending a friend’s wedding along with Ananya Panday, Khushi Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, Shanaya Kapoor, and Boney Kapoor.
As of now, Orry has not responded to the backlash. The controversy has reignited discussions on influencer accountability and the importance of showing respect towards the transgender and queer community online.
