Kartik Aaryan is keeping up his winning streak after the massive success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, lining up projects across genres that promise to keep his audience hooked. At the moment, he’s shooting two films — Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidhwans, and an untitled romantic drama with Anurag Basu — both set to arrive in theatres in 2026. He will then switch gears to the comedy Nagzilla, helmed by Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.
Now, the actor has added another heavyweight title to his line-up — his first collaboration with filmmaker Shimit Amin, best known for Ab Tak Chappan, Chak De! India, and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
Industry buzz suggests that Kartik and Shimit had been exploring a potential project together for quite some time before locking in Captain India. The idea reportedly came from Kartik himself, and once Shimit saw the potential, he developed it into a tightly woven screenplay. Inspired by a real-life incident, the film casts Kartik as an Indian Air Force pilot — a role that could rank among the most intense and patriotic performances of his career.
The production is expected to kick off in early 2026, with filming planned in India and Morocco. Location scouting in Morocco has already been completed, signalling that the groundwork is well underway. The shoot is scheduled from March to July 2026, with a theatrical release being eyed for the first half of 2027.
With romance, comedy, and now a high-adrenaline drama in the mix, Kartik Aaryan is piecing together a varied and ambitious filmography — one that ensures his fans have plenty to look forward to over the next few years.
