After a brief sabbatical following her entry into politics, Kangana Ranaut is back where it all began—on a film set. Amid her packed political commitments, the actor-turned-politician has resumed work on her acting career and has begun shooting for her next film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.

On Monday, Kangana took to Instagram to share an update with her fans, reposting a video originally shared by her production banner, Manikarnika Films Production. The clip captures her arrival on set and offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her working closely with director Manoj Tapadia. The two are seen discussing the set layout and poring over the script ahead of the shoot, signalling the start of the project’s filming schedule.

Sharing the video on her Instagram Stories, Kangana captioned it, “Nice to be back on film set.” In the clip, she is seen in a light-hued suit, papers in hand, fully immersed in a discussion—underscoring her typically hands-on and involved approach to her work.

Very little is known about the plot of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata at this stage, with the makers choosing to keep details under wraps. When the film was announced in 2024, it was described as a narrative centred on the remarkable journeys of ordinary people and their extraordinary achievements, with Kangana essaying the central role that anchors the story.

Kangana was last seen in Emergency, a political drama that she directed and co-produced. The film featured her portrayal of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and explored the controversial 21-month Emergency period from 1975 to 1977. Despite its ambitious subject and a supporting cast that included Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade and Milind Soman, the film failed to make a significant impact at the box office.

The actor took a step back from films after winning the Lok Sabha election from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh, following which she remained largely focused on her political responsibilities. Her return to the sets has since sparked excitement among fans, many of whom have expressed eagerness to see her back on the big screen with Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.

Apart from this project, reports have suggested that sequels to popular films such as Tanu Weds Manu and Queen could be on the cards. However, no official announcements have been made regarding these potential ventures as yet. Kangana has also made her Hollywood debut with Be the Evil, further expanding her global footprint as an actor.

With Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, Kangana Ranaut’s return to cinema marks a significant moment—balancing her evolving political career while reaffirming that films continue to remain a defining and inseparable part of her journey.
