R. Madhavan has completed filming for his upcoming project GDN, officially wrapping production on the biographical drama earlier this week. The actor marked the milestone alongside the cast and crew as the film moved into its post-production phase.
Written and directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, GDN features Priyamani and Jayaram in prominent roles. The film is jointly produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures and Madhavan’s Tricolour Films, and brings to screen the inspiring life of GD Naidu—a self-taught engineer whose ingenuity played a transformative role in India’s industrial journey. Known for adapting imported technologies into affordable and practical innovations, Naidu’s work helped shape modern Indian manufacturing.
The makers announced the completion of the shoot with a celebratory Instagram post on Monday, sharing visuals of the cast and crew coming together for the wrap-up. “And… it’s a wrap for #GDN… #WrapUpParty,” read the caption.
The film’s music is composed by Govind Vasantha, while cinematography is handled by Aravind Kamalanathan, who also serves as the creative producer on the project.
Meanwhile, Madhavan was most recently seen in Dhurandhar, which released in theatres on December 5.
