Love, celebration and new beginnings are in the air for actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, who recently tied the knot in an intimate yet beautiful ceremony in Udaipur. After their private wedding surrounded by close friends and family, the couple is now ready to celebrate their union on a larger scale with a grand reception in Hyderabad this evening.
The much-awaited celebration will be held at the iconic Taj Krishna from 7:00 PM onwards. The reception is expected to witness the presence of several prominent personalities from politics, business and the entertainment industry. Among the distinguished guests invited for the evening are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with his wife Geetha.
Earlier, the couple’s wedding invitation had created a buzz online after it surfaced on February 16. In the heartfelt note, Vijay shared the news of their upcoming wedding and invited loved ones to be part of a significant milestone in their lives. The message expressed gratitude for the love and blessings they have received and emphasised how meaningful it would be to celebrate the beginning of their new journey with people who have been a part of their lives.

The invitation also carried details of the Hyderabad reception, warmly inviting guests to join them for the celebration at Taj Krishna. However, the couple’s team later clarified that the reception would remain strictly invite-only due to security concerns. Addressing the situation, Vijay and Rashmika shared a note expressing gratitude for the overwhelming love and support from fans while requesting everyone’s cooperation in ensuring the event remains safe and joyous for all attendees.
The wedding itself took place on February 26 at ITC Mementos in a serene and private setting. The couple honoured both their cultural backgrounds by holding two wedding ceremonies on the same day. The morning ceremony followed Telugu traditions, celebrating Vijay’s heritage, while the evening ceremony was conducted according to Kodava customs, paying tribute to Rashmika’s roots.
Leading up to the wedding day, the celebrations were filled with unique and joyful pre-wedding events that reflected the couple’s vibrant personalities. Guests enjoyed a Japanese-themed dinner, a lively pool volleyball session and even a friendly cricket match playfully titled the “VIROSH Premiere League.” The festivities also included a glamorous sangeet night along with intimate haldi and mehendi ceremonies, making the multi-day celebration both personal and memorable.
Rashmika and Vijay’s love story began in 2018 when they first met while working on the film Geetha Govindam. Their on-screen chemistry quickly became a fan favourite, and the duo later reunited for another film, Dear Comrade. Over the years, their bond grew stronger both professionally and personally, eventually leading to this new chapter in their lives.
Fans will also be excited to know that the newly married couple is set to reunite on screen once again in their upcoming film Ranabaali, making their real-life partnership even more special for audiences who have followed their journey from co-stars to life partners.
